It is Tuesday so it is time to “Travel with Triton.” This week I am taking the de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter (other planes are welcome too) to Papua New Guinea for some short field takeoffs and landings. Come join, we start at LNF and fly to WAVP with 22 STOL Airfields in between. So strap in and come along for the ride, and you too can "Travel with Triton"
- This is a very casual flight. Everyone is welcome!
- Recommended Aircraft: Twin Otter of course (but you are welcome, as always, to fly what
you want)
- Server set to South East Asia
- Multiplayer set to ALL PLAYERS
- Live Time and Weather (if VFR)
- It is recommended that you disable damage for this flight.
- Flight Plan: LNF-WAVP.PLN - Google Drive
- Voice chat: Discord
- Travel with Triton “VR Adventures in Aviation” Live Stream: Twitch
I have never flown before with a group. Firstly how do I set up for voice, I have a Discord login. Secondly what else do I need to set? Is there a doco which explains everything.
Here are a couple of videos that explain it better than I could.
I hope that helps if not let me know.
Thanks. They look great. I always learn faster with (Youtube) videos
I have to give up on this. I followed everything set up MSFS2020 as per instructions yet in Discord I cannot see the server and in MSFS2020 I load the flight plan but do not see any other ‘players’ on the map and I have the server set to South East Asia. Also I tried chatting on Twitch, tried to join , clicked on send email (for verification) a few times and no emails ever received and the email address is correct and I also checked the spam/junk folder. Seems I’m not to go.
So sorry you could not get it going, there are many helpful guides on YouTube, good luck
Thanks. I have at last found a ‘solution’. I found ONE Youtube tutorial which mentioned that it can take up to 30 seconds or even one minute for other players to appear. It’s such a pity that many many youtube videos for all types of software tuition appear to ASSUME the watcher knows more than they (the watcher) really does and VERY annoying.

I fully understand how you feel. It happened to me as well and I was so discouraged. However, it started working for me all of a sudden. But the next gripe was the SE Server, which was offering very poor latency. So I could see the terrain forming all the time and the other aircraft’s movement was not smooth but jittery. The experience wasn’t fluid at all.
So, I started flying alone on the flight plan on the fastest server that was picked up automatically, and in my own time - alone.
Not advising you should do the same. Go for it, by all means, if it’s your thing. But the SE server, the flight timings and being online on Twitch or Discord (I detest both) were certainly not my cups of tea.
The most dangerous runway landing in the world…
Fewer than two dozen pilots are certified to land at this airport!
