Since the UK update I have been flying around many of the famous POIs around the country, and am frustrated … I have lived for several years in the UK and travelled to most of the places I have been flying to in the sim, and the height and density of the trees defied understanding.
Many of the POIs are almost completely hidden by trees - eg, Wolvesey Castle and Winchester Cathedral. Trees twice the height of the cathedral spires??!!
And on approach to the nearby EGHI, there are 500’ trees right on the airport boundary making a normal approach to runway 20 impossible.
I have the tree heights modification installed, which works across most of the country, but seems not to work immediately around the POIs. Anyone else notice this problem?
Remove the tree mod pretty sure there aren’t tree’s near that height in my sim around EGHI I do have tree’s on medium though.
The tree height around POIs and EGHI were like that both before applying the mod and since.
Could try my Southampton mod, may have removed or fixed the tree’s causing the issue.

They are supposedly meant to be reworking the tree’s think they explained why so many tree’s are oversized in a dev Q&A.
Trees around my home airport, YSHL are ridiculous, despite 3 notes to Zendesk since before release date…STILL NO ACTION !!!
Just did a test and trees look normal. Do you have any airport mod or Orbx installed?
I don’t have any tree height mod installed and I get where you are coming from with the tree’s.
Spent a while flying around Massachusetts small rural airstrips and the tree density seems a bit…over done.
Thanks for this link - will try it out. However that mod will not help with all the other places where POIs are overgrown with (and hidden by) trees of 500-800 feet in height!!

I have Orbx London City Pack and London City Airport installed, and set up to work with the UK update (according to Orbx!)
I will try the same locations without Orbx and see what they are like.
Discovered that a mod for NZ trees (nz-biomes trees) was the cause - it seems the author did not limit his changes to the NZ geographic area.
