The in-camera view I always have mapped to a joystick button unmapped itself. And the default in-cockpit view is Still too zoomed in, the pilot’s face is basically sitting on the dash, so you’re constantly fiddling.
The King Air wouldn’t move. Popped the parking brake and it just sat there, engines and on full and no feathering. Airspeed began to gradually climb, all the way up to around 150kt, yet the plane was just sitting there unable to move.
Meanwhile, the game decided my default TrackIR view was now leaning over my shoulder glancing back into the aisle. Up till that point, it had been working fine. Suddenly, I can only look back into the aisle, and that is considered my default cockpit view somehow.
So yeah, camera was still bugged. TrackIR has bugs. And the King Air has bugs.
The unable to move thing must be a general bug in the sim. I was trying some short flights (20 minutes) in the 787 last night from KOAK to KSMF to test if I could finally land the thing this patch and the first attempt I went to push back and it wouldn’t go anywhere. stopped pushback, tried to just move forward on engine power nothing. Then, oddly, hit active pause and the thing started moving forward quickly. Soooo weird.
Flew the tour of Japan today with TrackIR and didn’t experience any problems. TrackIR was solid, the AirKing flew as expected and the scenery was breathtaking. First time flying the AirKing, usually fly the Caravan, so took a bit of time to familiarize myself with the cockpit and not knowing the numbers, the landing was not my best, but walked away from it. Even got logged into flight log. So not sure why some have problems and others like me are not experiencing any such problems. Hope all get it sorted
Just reset center in the TrackIR software? Once in awhile my center point gets goofed up, but recentering it is a quick fix.
What gets me is with the Proclip, I can turn my head further to the right than I can to the left. I hit the stop sometimes when I’m trying to look back over my left shoulder, like say if I’m trying to see the numbers when turning onto base. I probably need to mess with some settings or offset the IR camera to my left more even though it says to center it on the monitor.
Yeah I have my sensor a bit more to the left on mine, so pretty much 1/4 of the way from the left edge on a 27" monitor. Lining the ProClip itself up straight makes a difference, too.
My TrackIR works fine, but then i play in dark room with curtains and no sunlight with reflections bouncing it around like I’ve heard others mention as a problem.
I have logged 42 hours in the sim so far, all with TrackIR, and I’ve never experienced a single TrackIR related issue.
It worked out of the box, with the release version of the sim, even before specific support was added.
When I get into a plane, I press F12 to center the view and I’m good to go.
What you describe may be Active pause being inadvertently on. It also happened to me: I had active paused to configure the plane and then forgot I had it on, and when the plane didn’t start to roll as I added power I was like WTF ? It would be nice if there was a way to tell that Active pause is on.
