I tried this today, 01/19/2024, and it didn’t work. Basically when I change the Com Frequency to a valid frequency ( Tower, Ground etc ), using the wheel up or down on the Com panel, ATC window updates the frequency within the Window Tab, but NOT the frequency related options in the ATC Window to be able to communicate on that Frequency with ATC. Not even if I click the mic button. It might work with paid ATC services or voice recognition AI ATC.
For realistic experience, it would be nice for this feature to work properly.
Classified as a bug and still not resolved, after 4,5 years …
