Turbulence in VR, still not there

I really miss the turbulence effect in VR. In 2D you really feel it but it seems that in VR is practically removed. I know its there cause I have a butkicker and FSRealistic makes the turbulence noise but the plane hardly moves.

It should move the plane (not the camera) as it would be in real life (your body moves later than the plane). Anyone found a workaround or it is just me?

thanks

I don’t know for sure but last week, I was flying in the south of France and it was especially turbulent.
I originally thought it was my setup but, changing to the external camera, it was clear it was the turbulent wind.
Maybe they reduced the occurrence significantly?

I fly exclusively in VR and frequently experience turbulence. It got so bad the other day I reached up and flipped on the seatbelt sign.

I’ll be really impressed if you tie yourself to your chair as well! :+1:

Had no idea there was a turbulence effect in VR.

zero for me, I was thinking that turbulence is disabled in VR to make sure you dont get dizzy

It actually gets me a little dizzy sometimes, being especially sensible to undesired camera movement in VR.

I got crazy turbulences yesterday. Like my plane shaking, going down and the speed going crazy with the stall alarm going off.

It should work.

I get turbulence in VR just fine, it’s especially evident over hills/mountains with updrafts.

Yep, plenty of turbulence over mountains etc in VR… Lots in fact…

How weird the different experiences, I notice the turbulencia just because my external apps. My plane does not even move but if I switch to 2D the plane shakes through the turbulence, switch back to VR and is smooth. Weird.

Yeah they need to re-work the turbulence in vr. Instead of “shaking” the world outside causing motion sickness, they need to “shake” that plane from inside cockpit (similar to xplane). But then again VR is like the lowest priority on their list so who knows if they will ever make it right.

Unfortunately they won’t. They put the topic on “Not planned” in their feedback snapshot. :frowning:
