Turning off AI traffic fixed my CTD

Brief description of the issue:
MSFS was completely unusable in 2D or VR. @trevoC655 (NOTAM) posted a YouTube video the showing fix. I am so very thankful for his video which allowed me to fly again.

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
Turn on AI traffic and 2D freezes for up to 20 seconds at a time. VR does nothing but flash the screen and goes in and out of the Cliff House. Turn off AI Traffic and everything works as before.

PC specs for those who want to assist (if not entered in your profile)
i9 12600k, 3090, 64 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, Internet 250 mbps download. All the Honeycomb stuff.

Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
Latest build with all patches as of 15 May.

Are you on the Steam or Microsoft Store version?

Did you submit this to Zendesk? If so, what is your ticket #?
No, because NOTAM had the fix. My next step was to submit a ticket.

Having a modest system I usually fly with just live player selected and have never had a problem. But a couple of days ago I thought I’d give it a go; all went well at first but I’d just reached top of climb in the CJ4 and CTD, the first I’ve had in months.

I’m hoping the future updates which have “promised” better performance might help. Upgrading my system is a no-no at the moment because of stupid prices - I’ve spent too much already!
