Although I’ve had the VF1 for some months now, I have only just moved up to a plane that needs (or uses) reverse thrust and mixture cutoff - the Cessna C208B turboprop
However, despite being fully updated etc and working perfectly otherwise, I simply cannot get the reverse detents on the quad levers to recognise on any MSFS controls input.
Is there a secret to this (X-Box) or are they still ■■■■■?
On their Discord server they have an FAQ document that explains the steps for reversers. I have done this and it works for my on airliners and prop planes with reverse thrust. I can’t upload the document here. See if this link works for you:
It would look like the attached picture, and the link to the PDF is seen all the way at the end.
I didn’t like Discord at first either. Confused how it was all setup. But… So many developers use it, I just kept at it and now it’s fine. Without it, I would be way behind the times on the FlyByWire A320, Turtle Beach, Headwind A330, Capt. Matto’s G36, all of the Working Title mods, the Salty 747… I could go on.
Give it a shot, you will be happy in the end that you did.
Thats right! But in general, due to MSFS is so buggy I have the impression, as longer as MSFS is used without complete restart, as more problems occur. Therefore I restart the Sim (not the box) after few flights or after a flight longer then 60-90 minutes.
With this, Í’ve lost the Detent buttons only 2 times since this feature is available (since months) and I hadn’t the need for plug-out and plug-in. With these restarts till SU9 I could prevent the loss of to many flights at the log book. I think, this loss has also the reason in instable FS state after a sim duration longer then 60-90 minutes. With SU9 this duration becomes shorter.
By the way, this instability after several flights I’ve observed in former MSFS too. In the meantime it is an enforced coffee break for me.
