Tweaking is required regardless of system and which download you have. You will have to re tweak after every patch and download. I have learn this the hard way from being a Beta tester to final purchasing the Deluxe version recently. My system:
Ryzen 7 3700x, RTX2060 8mb card, 32GB ram, 2660x1440 144hz 1ms monitor.
In the beta trail I hade everything on Ultra with no problems. In the deluxe version this is not the case and with the recent patch to 1.8.3.0 I had to redo everything from ultra and 200 settings with the 60fps to 170 settings and frames locked at 30. Clouds, water and trees down to High. My system when I first purchased the sim was running half of my eight cores but since the last patch I went to ONE core at one third the range with the sim RUNNING. My video card was going to sleep with a temp of 62c. The sim was stuttering and glitching everywhere. After the adjustments my CPU is at least using up to three cores more and video card temp up to 79c. No matter how strong or weak of a system you have you will have to re tweak as Asobo is trying trying to find a sweet spot for all computers and video cards which has nothing to do with computer power but matching your systems to their programming and/or servers.
