Great mod!
But where is it available? We would even pay for it.
Maybe he cannot release because his mod includes soundfiles from Aerosoft which are not public.
But then why does he make us hungry with it? At least he could give us instructions on how to make this mod ourselves. Would be a bit fair.
This describes the problem very well from the view of one who already had access to a pre-release version:
Thatâs not it. Many mods include (modded) original files. As long as you donât charge anything for it, there wonât be any problem.
Good to know. So letâs hope for a release.
I dont have the permisson to share, because this Mod contains âTURBINE SOUND STUDIOS - DHC-6 PT-6 TWIN OTTER HD PILOT EDITION SOUNDPACKâ, wich was made for the FSX Version and u have to buy it at the Simmarket.
-A few steps to do then, put the Soundset files into the Sound folder of the Twotter.
-Edit the Sound.xml for Engine 1 and 2, replace the âtrueâ to âfalseâ to mute the sounds of the Wwise Soundbank from the Release Version of the Twotter.
-Finally U need to make a new Layout.JSON.
Thats all I did to get this mix between the Wwise Sounds and this Legacy Soundset which u need to buy.
Thanks for the explanation. I was under the impression you had done something to the original WWise sounds and got them to work correctly.
So if I understand correctly, youâre basically using 2 sound sets parallel? The Turbine Sound Studios for the engines, and the Aerosoft sounds for the rest?
It reads like heâs totally muting the AS sounds as I understand it. NowâŠhow to make a Layout.JSON?
The TSS team could make a quick killing if they put that sound-pack on sale for $5 US!
correct, I was not able yet to open die PCK backwards into Wwise to Edit.
I just could convert all Sounds out of this files as mp3s , not as Wwise Project. Sadly
Absolutly! Btw, I did the same, month ago with the 777 Soundset. That TSS Stuff is absolutly killer Stuff.
So I replaced the 747 Defaults with their 777 Soundset on the 777-200
Thanks a lot for the support! It works superb. Only the loudness difference between inside and outside is too big. I will try to change the volume of these files with the freeware app âAudacityâ. I had already success with other sound files.
The purchase of âTURBINE SOUND STUDIOS - DHC-6 PT-6 TWIN OTTER HD PILOT EDITION SOUNDPACK FOR FSXâ from simMarket is definitely worth it.
For those who donÂŽt know how to use the âMSFSLayoutGeneratorâ for making a new Layout.JSON:
I dont know how any of that works - but i would buy the Sound pack if you shared your filesâŠif its not possible - dont worry!
Oh coolâŠthanks.
Just had a look at the description of the TSS sound set and seems to include wind sounds etc as well. So are those sounds then played by both sets?
The funny part about this is TSS does the sounds for the new one, too.
Very tempting, only 13.99 US.
IMO those sound way too muffled for a twin otter especially the exterior sounds. I grew up seeing Twin Otters flying over our house very low as lived near the runway. They are very loud on takeoff. It basically sounds like a noisy PT6 powered crop duster with two engines.
