Doesn’t matter.

Brief description of the issue:

Many airplanes (both default and 3rd party) seems unstable in pitch with constant microchanges making it hard to maintain altitude. Even when trimmed properly. Some planes are worse than others. Seems like there’s something affecting the elevator causing small microchanges in pitch when flying straight and level in smooth air. In turbulence this is much worse causing significant changes in pitch which in my opinion is way too much compared to real life experience. Should be much more stable in pitch as in real life.

To clarify, I’m using less than a year old TM Hotas Warthog, calibrated with default settings in MSFS. No issues whatsoever in other sims like X-plane, P3D and DCS World.

Open for input from other people with real life experience.

SU 7 with hotfix

I have the same problem. Hard to trim level or even close as the plane will slowly climb and decend continually. A very small amount.

I think this issue is solved now as this post is a year and a half old. In real life you will constantly trim the airplane too. Especially a small plane. That’s part of flying an airplane

My first thought is, the default sensitives are too high for me and my Turtle Beach Flight Stick & Yoke. I’ve got roll @ -25% and pitch @ -50% for all planes more or less.

Also discovered a tip the other day which was to reduce Reactivity on your roll, pitch and rudder down to 50% or so, it makes most planes feel more realistic, maybe not fighter jets though.

Every aircraft needs to have it’s own control tuning and profile in my opinion.

As I mentioned before, the pro sims no matter what level they are, come as a bundle of software and hardware all calibrated for 1 single model. But obviously this is not what we or I want from MSFS .

A while ago, I started tweaking the sensitivity curves for some of my favorite aircraft but most of the time I forget to go and switch the profiles for each controller…

Hopefully in the 2024 version every aircraft will be able to have all the custom controllers profiles saved for it and automatically loaded with it…

This in my opinion, is the only way to make each default or addon model gets its own custom feel or rather, subjective feel  .

I understand trimming. But, this goes up, and down, up, and down.
