I initially installed MSFS 2024 on a clean Win11 installation. The first few times I started the sim I got a UAC warning (‘Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device’) for ‘Microsoft Store Package Dependency Installer’, more details shows the program location as ““C\Windows\system32\custominstallexec.exe” /install Microsoft.Limitless_1.1.0.0_x64_8wekyb3d8bbwe” . Eventually though (without any changes) it stopped appearing.
I had issues getting something else to work well so after a few days I decided on another clean installation (drive formatted, clean Win11 installation & (so-far) MSFS 2024 is the only thing I have installed.
I wasn’t surprised to see the warning again and presumed (like the last time) it would eventually go away on it’s own. But… I’ve started the sim approx 20 times and it appears every single time.
Pressing yes or no to the warning makes no difference, in both cases the warning goes away and MSFS starts. If I start MSFS as admin then when I click yes to the warning I get another, the same warning but this time for ‘GameLaunchHelper.exe’ in the MSFS folder.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of this warning \ stop it appearing every time I start MSFS please?
