UI darkening doesn't go away after resetting a challenge

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

When doing landing challenges in VR, failing and restarting leads to a permanent darkening of the screen while flying, as if the pre flight effect never goes away. This never goes away including after pausing / unpausing, exiting vr and reentering, and exiting flight and starting a new one. The only way to fix it is restarting the game.

If you fail and go back to menu, you can avoid this, but that’s annoying

This reddit thread sounds similar, though these users might be on PlayStation (so it sounds like a cross platform VR issue): https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/1t6zlaw/msfs2024_screen_very_dark/

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

This issue occurs 100% of the time you fail and restart a landing challenge. I assume based on other users reports that it can be triggered in career mode as well

Same experience here when using VR. Extremely frustrating issue!

This game is unplayable because of that, there is ton of other bugs, It’s super frustrating, I don’t uderstand how can you release such broken game.

Today I experienced exactly what the OP described! Exactly the same as in: same circumstances… I hope MS / Asobo look at this and fix it in one of the next sim updates.

Good thing is there is a fix, even it that fix is exiting and restarting the sim…
