UK Airports & Traffic

Hi All,
Just getting into MSFS on my Xbox series X and would like some advice & pointers on the following as this would be appreciated.

I would like to add on a better Edinburgh airport & also a few other UK airports including Belfast. I’ve seen these within the Marketplace & they look great compared to the stock airports.

I would like to make the airports look a bit more realistic with regards to ground traffic & vehicles & also the AI planes with the correct liveries applied for that airport.

Can anyone recommend some decent add ons that will enhance the immersion at UK airports?

I’m also thinking of adding in the ATR aircraft from market place which I think there is also a Livery pack for this add-on, anyone tried these & are worth getting?
Thanks
Mike

I don’t think this is possible on xbox. AI traffic for XBOX - Discussion Hub / Tools & Utilities - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

Regarding airports I’d recommend buying 3rd party addons, if you can afford it. Default autogenerated airports are awful. I don’t think I took off or landed on one in the last 2 years.

I’ll second any of the Pyreegue airports. Work well on xbox x. I have the ATR and it’s a good aircraft with some additional complexity than the stock aircraft. With most aircraft you’ll need to purchase livery packs. There’s a good one for the ATR with the aircraft looking used as opposed to the usual pristine all clean and shiny ones. On Xbox we’re stuck for adding liveries to the AI aircraft. There was an Aerosoft addon a while ago that worked pretty well though they pulled it because it did not perform ‘as advertised’ on console. Have a search for LVFR static aircraft. This will populate lots of airports with static aircraft and different liveries. You just need to accept that sometimes they’ll be in your gate though and AI aircraft will park on top of them. LVFR regional environments addon - gives you branded fuel trucks and service vehicles etc. Finally Zinertech enhanced airport graphics. Improves runway textures etc. These are the ones I use on series x without issues, sure others will have their preferences - enjoy

Pyreegue currently offers four UK airports (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast Int’l, East Midlands — with Birmingham on the way) and they’re among the most detailed ever created. They’re not cheap (so perhaps best waiting for a quarterly sale) but they are very highly regarded and run surprisingly well on the Xbox Series X (although East Midlands requires a little bit of caution).

UK2000 offers a decent selection too, and while they’re not as detailed as Pyreegue’s, they suffer no performance issues on console.

A few other decent UK airports are:

Pilot Plus Bristol/Southend: detailed sceneries but prone to black screens on Xbox

IniBuilds Southampton: one of the top 5 most detailed airports in the sim, and a solid performer on Xbox

IniBuilds Heathrow: decent performance and detail, given the size of the airport

IniBuilds Stansted: not one of Ini’s better offerings but still decent. Reasonable performance on Xbox

IniBuilds Leeds/Bradford: another beauty but probe to black screens on Xbox

IniBuilds Luton: beautiful airport but no Xbox experience

Origami Gatwick: avoid at all costs! Terrible on PC, let alone console!

Macco Sims Manchester/Birmingham: old sceneries but pretty decent and run very well on Xbox

Taimodels Manchester: no experience with it personally but supposedly not great. Nice interior, though!

Finally, if you’re into small airfields (as well as Farnborough), Burning Blue Design offer some fantastic examples in the Midlands and South. Unfortunately they perform much better on PC but they’re still enjoyable on the 'Box.

Hi there

I have Pyreegue‘s Edinburgh airport and its fantastic, highly recommend it.

Control Tower is modelled along with full interior and static aircraft at gates. Night lighting looks amazing and runs very smooth on the X

For AI Traffic Just Flight is developing an xbox version of their FS Traffic add-on. You can find more links and info on their site or via the topic below
