If you’re high at the point you should be capturing the glide slope engage vertical speed mode and start your descent. You don’t have to drop like a stone. Rule of thumb for rate of descent for a 3 degree glide slope is ground speed x 5 or ground speed divided by 2 and add a zero. Ballpark vApp for the CJ4 is around 110 knots so your 3 degree rate of descent is around 550 fpm in a no wind situation. Depending on how high you are, set your VS to 800 - 1000 fpm. Yu will get down to the glideslope before you get to the DH and when you cross the normal glideslope it will capture and cancel VS mode.
