Following on from last message. I have had to quickly ask Steam for a full refund for FS2020. When I got to the XBOX Game screen and to sign-in, it kept rejecting EVERY effort to sign in? This was using my Microsoft Account sign-in. Can NOT get any quick response from Microsoft, so I have given up!

Did you try running the app as administrator?
Yes I ran as Admin, and besides I am the only one that uses this PC. I did speak a Microsoft agent and could not understand why it kept rejecting PW. Someone suggested trying to log in direct to the XBOX live, but cant find the reply for link. It may be on the Steam forums. Such a shame as I was looking forward tp playing FS2020. I have now received refund after I removed FS2020 from PC. I will continue to find a solution from MS/Xbox as to why this is happening. Hours of wasted time!
I have been on the phone over 12 hours (in 2 days) with various MS support staff. I had been unable to even start the download of MSFS. I would get an error every time. They tried dozens of changes to my PC to get it to work. Finally this morning 1 of the techs suggested re-installing MS 10. He took control of my computer, dowloaded and installed a new MS 10 and then went to the store and tried to download the program. IT WORKED!!! It’s still downloading. But it looks like it’s going to work. The solution after dozens of failed toys was to re-install MS10. It’s worth a try. Good luck.

Wasn’t there a need to have a specific version of Win10 or later loaded for this to work?
I assume you’re using Win10? Have you updated it to the latest rev? Have you installed the XBox app and signed in to your Microsoft Account?
There’s a whole bunch of things that have to work here. I had an issue with my sign in that was preventing my updating the game. I think it got screwed up when my first attempt at install burped and it corrupted my sign in. I had to uninstall the store and the xbox app and reboot and reinstall and it finally allowed me to update. The apps showed I was signed in, but FS2020 didn’t recognize that I was. Some sort of bug with the store/xbox app that reinstalling fixed. I imagine a corruption of some files in the inaccessible winapp directories/registry.
I already had the latest version of Windows 10. I have a new computer. And the techs had checked and updated everything. Finally the last tech downloaded and re-installed windows 10. All of a sudden I was finally able to download FS. It’s still downloading!
