Brief description of the issue:
I saved a flight plan in the world map, but after that I cannot edit the cruise altitude. The cursor just won’t appear in the cruise altitude field.
Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:
Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
- set up a flight plan
- save flight plan to PC
- return to see yourself unable to change cruise altitude
PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:
The reason why I saved a flight plan to begin with is because I am requested by the addon FSLTL maker to run a test on it. They discovered that in a Chinese OS (Microsoft Windows 10 Traditional Chinese provided by MS Taiwan), the coordinates are saved with the wrong symbol. Instead of the degreen symbol, the saved flight plan uses asterisk. Since asterisk causes italic font on this forum, I will use (a) to represent it here.
this was the developer’s exact response, showing the difference between Western OS and Chinese OS when saving a flight plan:
i.e. your plan N25(a) 4’ 11.00",E121(a) 33’ 9.00",+000013.50
FSLTL plan N31° 8’ 42.00",E121° 47’ 36.01",+000012.00
It is possible that MSFS “is running differently” on Chinese (or maybe also Japanese and Korean) OSs, thereby causing a number of bugs.
Therefore I have to report that this all happened on a Win 10 Chinese version, which is likely the cause.
