Unable to get IFR clearance (temporary solution)

I’m not sure if other have had this problem, and I did a search and found nothing.

I accidentally prevented myself from getting an IFR clearance from my departure airport. How I did it is, I switched to ground frequency and requested the ground power truck. The problem is when I went back to see the prompt to switch the clearance frequency, it wasn’t there, however the prompt to obtain clearance was present with ground control. If you press that prompt. Nothing happens, and you sit at the gate or parking apron with no IFR clearance. I attempted to find and switch manually to clearance frequency, but the prompt to obtain clearance doesn’t show up.

Solution: Don’t ask for any ramp services or equipment until AFTER you get your IFR clearance.

I know it doesn’t work that way in the real realm, but until this gets addressed, just do it this way and ATC will continue on the primrose path.

ATC has had frustrating bugs all over the place since release. Hopefully those will be addressed soon.

The whole ATC is absolutely bad and has to be completely redesigned. My ADIRS were just about to align, had about 6 minutes left because the copilot says pushback. Must break off every time.

Thanks for posting this workaround! I just had to cancel two consecutive flights after doing a tedious MCDU setup in the A320 (NX mod) because I connected the jetway to load passengers before filing (facepalm). In any case asking for the connection after filing the plan works. I would say this is an easily reproducible bug and hope someone takes a look at it.

Feels like it should be a song :musical_note: :notes:

Thanks for the tip!
