You shouldn’t have had to do all that! I had issues too with the last update. Every update actually. Try running repairs on all those and gaming services and reset options, then reboot. Then try running the XBOX game bar app then reboot. Finally the game and digital ownership downloaded after spending hours trying to figure it out. Calculus is easier! Hope it works for you I can’t guarantee it but somehow it finally worked for me. Microsoft needs to streamline that whole download process IMO Extremely inefficient
Fortunately, a Dell rep sorted it out and I was able to reinstall the game..another 3 hours of waiting for the download to complete.
Microsoft is a company run by computer geeks making products designed for geeks! There is no real support…only references to incomprehensible web pages with Nerd speak🤓
Yea another 3hrs! Tell me about it. Can’t updates just be made through an installer like X-Plane? No because that makes too much sense and it’s too easy. What’s crazy is if you have to delete the app the whole game gets deleted so you have to make sure you back up any addons. Hope you don’t ever have to reinstall windows that’s always a nightmare
If you remember what the Dell Rep did to correct your problem, please add it to your post. It may help others with similar issues.
The Dell rep did the magic by a Remote Session, so I can’t provide any specific how he was able to sort the Windows reinstallation out.
