ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Unable to complete install to my PC via Microsoft Store

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time on intall from library

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Open microsoft store

  2. Goto Updates and Downloads

  3. Select Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)

  4. Select re-try or cancel and try again

No mods and add-ons

What peripherals are you using:

[PC Only] Standard setup

[PC Only] What GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (MSI)

[PC Only] Intel Core i7 14700KF

1 Update Windows:

  • Open Windows Update and install all available updates.
  • Repeat this process until Windows tells you there are no more updates available.

2 Update Microsoft Store apps:

  • Open the Microsoft Store.
  • Go to Library and update all installed apps.
  • After all updates are done, restart PC.

3 Install Xbox app:

  • Download and install the Xbox app
    Xbox PC app | Xbox
  • Launch the Xbox app and log in with your Microsoft account.

4 Install Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020:

  • Using the Xbox app, find Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
  • Install it in the default location.

I have gone back into the store and was sucessful in downloading the basic version of 2020.

I’m currently updating through the content manager and will introduce various components, bit by bit.

Something seemed to change in the program from around the 9th/10th of October 2025.
