Unable to select data options

Since the last msfs update I am unable to select any data options ie.selecting data cache does not do anything

This has been a bug/issue that has randomly affected a number of users.

There seems to be no clear understanding of what causes the issue.

Take a look at this post. It was listed as a fix for not being able to save controller profiles, but the user also states that it fixed the inability to access the Rolling Cache settings, too:

Thanks I am also unable to save controller profiles both these issues appeared after the latest update

Had this problem, settings disappeared no saved control profiles.
Idk why ppl keep posting the “workaround” I’ve never seen MSFS in free up space setting on the series x, Idk, I have an external drive so maybe that’s why?

But if it’s there for you worth a shot..

What did work is to delete the sim and reinstall it.. see I was on the 1.29.30 beta and had this issue and left the beta because of this, had to reinstall the game.

Then few days later they forced me to download that same version “now live version”. And had the issue again. So in 7 days I’ve installed the game twice.

Good luck, yes you will have to download all the market place addons and world updates again.

Also worth mentioning once everything is back working, it’s actually been saving control profiles this whole time even tho we couldn’t see them or select them. So um… stop trying to save a new profile till it’s reinstalled. Don’t be like me and try 15-20 times because it definitely saved and I spent a few minutes deleting all the ones I made while it was broken.

Can’t find msfs in free up space either so reinstalling now, thanks

You may have to try it a few times. I know there was someone else who wrote about this issue exhaustively when it first came about and he had a difficult time fixing it. I know he did multiple reinstalls.

Just reinstalled but still unable to view profiles or save new profiles

Perhaps you can find help, or at least contribute here:

See this post, too. This is the user who posted quite a bit about the issue:

Ended up doing a Xbox reset new install of msfs now have my cache options back and my velocity one profiles including the ones I thought didn’t save, a bit puzzled how my profiles where still available despite resetting my Xbox luckily only had msfs installed on my Xbox so didn’t take too long to get up and running again.

Those are saved in the cloud.

For instance, I’ve got two Xboxes and a PC. All my control profiles are available on any platform and are synced via the cloud.

The same goes for Bush Trip progress and some of the sim’s settings, too.

Ok understand now thanks for the help
