If you have all the files on disk, and it cannot decompress them, this will likely have no effect. It only decompresses when they are all downloaded, so if you are at that stage then the downloads for that particular package are done.
There’s no harm in trying it though, those are totally legit DNS servers. They even offer DNSSec, and a few other features besides.
