Unable to use radio in career mode

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: In career mode when starting the mission, I am unable to make any radio calls. These are on VIP charter missions and I am unable to start the mission without calling to taxi or get clearance. Tried the enter key like the mission window says and manually through the radio panel.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? Every time I try to start a mission now. Worked fine to start this morning.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Open career map.
  2. Select mission.
  3. Enter mission.
  4. Call for boarding, passengers board.
  5. Start aircraft, Cirrus Jet/MS version
  6. Comms say not in use and will not let me call to announce taxi.
  7. Move from spot, immediately penalized.

After restarting the sim I was able to get a mission started using the radio. Then after landing could not call in for taxi. I guess I am giving up on career mode.

I don’t know what has changed on the server side, but the radio stuff in career has been broken for me for thr last couple of days.

Broken for me as well.

I had this happen but after a ~4hr flight to Anchorage. Made it impossible to complete the mission. Not a good time :slightly_frowning_face:

The quick comms button sometimes doesn’t automatically switch to the right frequency. Open the comms window and select the proper option to get to the frequency you need, or manually enter it into the radio.

There is a bug, like OP posted about, that causes the radio to just not work no matter what you do. That is fixed with a mission restart or game reboot, usually.

maybe someone should start a thread that asks the community to list what DOES work…
