My suggestion to create a new profile was to allow for a test to be made without destroying any previous save data. If the sim performs as it should do on the new profile, then the issue lies with the original profile.
Deleting a save isn’t going to be a reversible action.
We are way off-topic here…

Nope. I’m on Xbox Series X and I haven’t had any issues ever with the LVFR Static Aircraft Add on.
So, ~24hours on and we still do not know what the update did???
Its not on.

Yes I’m missing those options and the ghosting when panning is awful ever since this latest update yesterday.
I had considered doing that, maybe worthwhile to see if the new gamertag suffers the same issues. Would be great to get word on why we all got this latest update!
Edit:
I deleted my profile save from the Xbox and disconnected the network connection so it couldn’t download my cloud save. This restarted the sim as if I was a first time player and the Data menu is still missing the options so maybe it’s not related to my game save.

So, let’s get this straight.
You’ve:
• Uninstalled & reinstalled the sim
• Cleared “Reserved Space”
• Disconnected Internet and deleted save
None of this has solved the missing options??
Have you factory reset the Xbox, yet?
Man, that is seriously jacked up.

Yes, they removed some options.
This is the only difference i saw after the update
Maybe for you, but not for me. I’ve got my options still.
I think he did all that you describe as well as doing a full factory reset of the XBOX (at least I remember someone earlier said they did all of that). And none of it fixed anything.
My experience has been similar. While I haven’t factory reset the XBOX itself, I have reinstalled the sim, including all ads-on, twice now, including a cold reboot of the box between each step, and it made zero difference on any of the bugs.
Most bizarre combination of issues I’ve seen yet with this sim. Aside from the horrendous constant freezing and stuttering, the Beta was actually BETTER than the public release. Data and rolling cache menus were fine in the Beta, half the data menu including the entire rolling cache menu is missing in the public release. Components, such as individual default airports could be deleted as always in the Beta, but no delete option appears when they’re selected in the public version. And the LVFR static aircraft package worked perfectly with the Beta, but doesn’t work at all with the public release.
When has Beta software ever been more stable than the final release version? It makes no sense. Of course, the stuttering and freezing was and is the same in both, but everything else was better running the Beta.
That is just insane.
I couldn’t have a more opposite experience if I tried.
What the h*** is going on with you and the others that are seeing this issue?
Where are you located geographically? Is this a regional build difference?
They didn’t remove options (or at least if they meant to, they failed miserably). The Data menu options that are missing WILL reappear, by themselves, if you enter “cache” or “rolling cache” into the Search bar, but the cache settings are set to “On” but with the cache size set to “0.” And since they’re grayed out, you can’t change any of them. None of it makes a bit of sense.
Oh, and if you’re able to get the other missing pieces of the Data menu to reappear, it won’t let you scroll the menu, and any selections you make in the menu automatically revert back to their defaults as soon as you exit the menu.
Maddening.

Maybe you could swing by Asobo Studios for us and find out what’s going on!

If only I could… I have so many questions to ask them

It’s not just a few of us XBOX users. There are also PC users who have had exactly the same set of problems. Why it doesn’t affect some while it completely trashes the sim’s operation for others is a mystery.
I can tell you with confidence, based upon my setup and how I manage it, as well as similar explanations from others, that’s it’s not just some simple matter of a bad internet connection (how would that mess up basic functions of the sim, like missing menus, anyway?), or a corrupted installation (multiple full reinstalls, and some have even factory reset their machine itself).
This is clearly a fundamental flaw in Sim Update 8 itself. Even more bizarre, as I said before, because the Beta didn’t exhibit most of these problems, making the final release more unstable and bug-ridden than the Beta, which I’ve never seen happen with any software before, ever.

I’m curious if all of us having issues also ran the Beta. I know that many who have no issues also probably ran the Beta, but I’m just wondering if something got royally hosed in some cases in the process of updating the Beta to the release version. It would seem that even if that were the case it wouldn’t matter for those of us who have since done multiple clean installs of the final version, but who knows?
I only ran the beta on my PC.
On my Xbox I did have CTDs when trying to run the Content Manager updates after the base sim SU8 update handled by the OS.
I couldn’t even delete the offending Content Manager content that was causing the CTDs. If I tired, that would cause a CTD! I, ultimately, had to clear Reserved Space to fix the problem.
Basically, even those of us who didn’t opt into the beta on Xbox has SU8 installation issues.
I didn’t realize PC users were having the issue you’re having, though. Seriously, that is just crazy sauce.
Did I miss something or do we still not know what the 7.43 GB large Update was all about on Series S and 35 GB on Series X ?
I have no issues like described here with the profile and I also did not participate in a beta.
P.S.: no such update on my PC version so far.
Kinda odd.
We I try to do 6h hours flight didn’t make it they didn’t fix cockpit screen going out in then CTD
