Would not doing this result in possible conflicts, and therefore instability? And if so, could this be a cause of some users’ issues at the moment?
You mean the current release ISN’T an “alpha”?
IMHO it needs a lot of sandpaper before it’s smooth enough to stain and finish.
My installation was a fresh install of 2024 without any other 2024 versions previously used and it spent more time rebooting my entire box by crashing to BIOS than actually running.
The result is a borked box that may well require a total bare-metal reinstall of Windows to get things working.

Your issue is that you seem to have installed both sims on top of each other. That’s not the question of this topic though.
