If I install a paid add-on package such as Hong Kong City Times or Seattle Landmarks is there any Asobo base scenery that I need to uninstall (delete) in content manager? (I.e. like I do when I install an add-on airport)

No there really shouldn’t be the need as MSFS is designed to be overwritten capable - however I can’t say the same for any 3rd party content you have for the same area, sometimes there can be conflicts.
