Hi all. I’ve got an VR texture issue I’ve talked about on the forum before that I am nearly certain is related to a corrupted/messed up texture (something to do with reflections).
I think it’s time to do a reinstall - or a repair. But what’s the difference between the two?
Also if I do a reinstall, with moving the community folder temporarily, do I need to do anything specific for payware add ons (ie PMDG) like uninstalling or will moving the community folder back to the original file path post-reinstall work ok?
If you are sure it isn’t caused by a mod conflict, I would go with the reinstall.
First, move your Community Folder somewhere safe.
Then, from Windows Apps & Features, uninstall the sim.
Next, delete all leftover folders.
Reboot PC and reinstall the sim.
After the sim is up and running, there will be a new Community folder.
Move everything back into it.
I just had to re-install the whole thing, not for the faint hearted! approx 157gb download, assuming the whole thing has gone south. And a re-install of the gaming services before it will download the stuff.
