I do not understand what is going on.
I am setting real weather. (Real weather and real traffic is why I bought this game)
Why do I constantly hear thunder in the cloudy sky?
Why do I see devilish lightning under these conditions?
Why did FPS decrease with the same graphics settings and despite the fact that compared to the release, the graphics became worse?
Why did the water become plasticine?
I will be silent about the planes offered by Microsoft. They are all rubbish in my opinion. I’m grimly looking forward to paid add-ons.
I love the new sim, but I’m aware that at the present time we need help from the creative and talented mod creators, ASOBO has to make an effort to address our concerns, and 3rd party devs will need to fill the void.
If the sim is crashing or performing poorly that will be a little harder to fix.
one thing i do not understand is, for example with asobo live weather when i’m at FL300+
I see sometimes winds above 70 knots or 140 even.
winds are quite different with this mod
Hi, by not simulating, I mean the data is only pulled off by the metar reports and multiplied depending on the altitude you’re flying. So it wont match real live high level winds as well as the default live weather does.
Unreal Weather is a METAR-based mod. METARs do not include the information about the winds aloft, so those values are currently simulated to provide some wind variety at the higher altitudes. In order to have the real winds aloft added to the mod, it would require a free and reliable source of such data.
I am really appreciative of this mod and gave it a real shot, but I had some significant issues. When transitioning between stations it would cause extreme stuttering. Looking at the weather settings it was changing every second. This sometimes resolved by pressing the force reload button. I would watch the weather change and it just caused massive stutters. I also found the cloud textures to be very muted… It is a good effort but just did not work or me. That being said, the live weather in sim is not good either. Oh well, we wait!
I was thinking the same. Would be nice if it’s possible to use the metar <25nm, up to 10000ft above airport (example numbers), anything outside those boundaries live weather
Well, seeing as I’m flying between 0 and 20000 feet, I’d prefer to have actual up do date cloud coverage etc, with the benefit of seeing actual winds aloft…
Does this mod fix the visibility issues plaguing the sim? Or is it always cavok just like the default weather engine? For example the default weather engine has no effect on aerosol density. The value is always zero.
The aerosol density can be enabled, but it may cause issues during weather transitions. Please see the mod link for more details. This is really a MSFS problem.
