Upcoming Updates

Given the issues that we are getting each time there is an update can I suggest that, as a company you reconsider the update currently planned for 23rd Dec, as QC seems to be a real issue right now, having no one around to hot-fix at least the major issues seems pretty much a requirement at the moment.

Next update they should consentrate on fixing the download loop as it’s getting beyond a joke now.

No, I want that update! They already moved from weekly updates to monthly. And being it’s said that Sebastian personally worked on fixing the autopilot issues I’d prefer it sooner than later. I want water masking back!!! Hopefully that happens too, and I want the menus being stretched to be resolved.

I still have items broken from the September “update” and lets not even start on the October one(and Nov), your trust is commendable

I hear ya man and totally agree!! It’s just that with patch 7 things just got to the point for me that I really don’t feel much like using MSFS2020 lately. I also noticed, as did others, a significant frame drop around large cities. It’s so bad now Dev mode show like 12-18fps average when before it was more around 25-28fps. So it’s no longer very enjoyable flying around big cities and since water masking was removed it’s no longer fun flying around tropical island locations.

So I guess I’m more confused now by people’s sentiments. (no, I’m no fanboy)

They just sent a hotfix today – granted it’s a few days old from last week’s patch, but it absolutely fixes the A320 and autopilot bug (flying the 787 right now and the AP is working perfectly, for once!)

So aren’t Asobo doing what you’re asking above?

10000000000000000% agree – they do NOT need to stop updates. Keep them coming – the more the better, at least it means things are getting checked off the 5,000 bugs list.

Please fix performance issues, before adding more eye candy.
These stutters & texture pop-in’s are too crazy for me.

You’re illustrating the issue… update last week… hot fix for some of what it broke this week. Dec 23rd you aren’t likely to get a hot fix until the new year.

Yes the goal should be to reduce the number of bugs in the game, good long term goal, but every update seems to need a hot fix to get it stable again, doing one when you know no one will be at the wheel to rectify is foolhardy at best.

That’s fair – I think you’re saying the timing of it being right before Christmas/New Years/Holidays could be troublesome… maybe if they could push it up a week, but I know there’s no chance that will happen.

Yes to be clear I’m not saying no more updates!!! Update the game it needs it! I’m simply questioning the timing given the problems we seem to have with them all. If they could push it up a week until the 16th that would be awesome, however unlikely

If an update to some of the Carenado planes is being held back till the next update, then I would rather have that update sooner rather than later. It would be really nice to spend some quality time with them over the Christmas break.

Which update they released today? AFAIK it was a navdata update. The A320 is still a mess to fly.

somebody above said the A320 is working great for him now… are you using the mod or the default?

Are you using the FBW mod or the default?

LOL, I can hear the uproar now from the tubeliners fans, because I believe Seb hinted on the last Dev Q&A that the update was mostly for them as Sim Update No. 2. You’d have to be a brave soul to get between them and any fixes.

I fly GA pistons and turbos, so my only concern is any delay to that cascades a delay to Sim Update 3, which is the one I care about - the Garmin and FMS fixes. So to that I soundly say Nay. :sunglasses:

Let the updates arrive on time!

Umm… you realize that this is a new MONTHLY update schedule vs the 2-week update schedule we’ve been on since launch, right? They’re doing exactly what you’re asking of them. We’d be getting the next update on Dec 8 if we were on that same 2 week schedule. Instead it’s pushed back to Dec 22.

To late im trying to download 1Gb from the small patch now. ahhh.

Using default

I use the FBW mod always for the A320 – the dev version has the latest/greatest fixes
