AeroDesigns - KPWM Portland International Jetport now released!
Portland International Jetport (PWM, KPWM) is located in Maine, the United States, north of Boston.
Portland offers a great diversity in flights from daily airline connections to cities like Washington, New York and Chicago to Cargo operations with FedEx, but also smaller general aviation or regional routes.
This airport has grown quite significantly over the years and it is fortunately still growing. It handled nearly 2 million passengers in 2022 and to cope with this growth they completed a large terminal expansion in 2011, which is of course represented in this scenery.
More recently, the airport runways and taxiways were largely resurfaced and expanded, and is present in our rendition of this airport as well.
Portland Jetport also offers great approaches such as the Harbor Visual for Runway 29 where you fly over the river and along the Portland City waterfront and harbor.

It has taken us longer than we wanted/anticipated to get this released because we are still stuck on the black lines/gaps issue unfortunately. We were hoping that SU12 would solve this and although it has given us more functionality to accurately recreate the mesh of the real-life airport, it has not solved the issue of black lines appearing… Asobo is still looking into it so hopefully we get it resolved at some point.
In the mean-time, this small update contains an extensive mesh rework, some fixes, additions of buildings, and a few other small things. You can find the changelog below.
We hope you are all still enjoying the airport and if you have any more feedback or suggestions you can reply here or send us a private message.
Thanks!
Changelog v1.01:
Complete mesh rework due to SU12 more accurate mesh editing
Fixed windsock placement near runway crossing / taxiway C
Fixed CRJ’s spawning at GA ramp
Fixed ATC instructing takeoff 18-36; Primary should now be 11-29
Fixed mesh dip on intersection Taxiway A / C
Removed two sheds at Cargo area as these are removed in real life
After our succesful release of Manchester KMHT, we jumped straight back in to Portland to fix a few of the issues that were reported to us.
Initially this was only supposed to be a small update, but the list of things to improve kept getting bigger and bigger.
We have now pretty much made a V2 version of Portland given all the things that have been improved, and the things we learned from our MHT development process.
The full changelog is below. Please first fully delete the old folder and then install the new one.
Another note is that if you have BlacksSquare’s Real Taxiway’s installed, some things might look incorrect. So please disable that for PWM.
We hope you enjoy this new version of PWM!
