I have the same issue with the heat blur. Don’t think I will mod any files so guess I wont use fs24 until it is fixed.
did they just totally killed removing the heat. ettect… i just look and i no longer have the directries where it used to be all is gone, onestore directory used to have this now it is all gone empty directory only dir that has anything in it is community what i put there… omg they are so stupid this forcing people to watch this nasty heat effect 
No problems here, files are where they supposed to be.
Edit: I see you mentioned One Store folder, that was in fs2020. In 2024 my local files are in C:Xbox games.

all these folders are empty except community as if my game is 100% streamed idk what the heck is going on, game works though i have ms-store version, i was the one who wrote about deleting the fx files, which i did now they vanished everything vanished
but game works just no way to delete the ugly heat effect
also looked in here and these files are not here either

looks like the old folders but the effects are gone and all these aircraft files only contain some strange files i have never come across for example like this

Well, this sim works in mysterious ways, i tried to move my community folder, but it resets to deafult location at random times, so giving that up for the time being.
Maybe something changed in your installation? Check in Xbox app where your core files are installed.
thanks for the hint. it has moved itself to a different drive OMG !!! 
I went to xbox as your main pic and it told me it is installed on another drive … idk how in heck this happened I know where i installed it … anyways…

I renamed the files to something else and even deleted it the fx folder. Nothing works for me…i still show the heat blur in the cockpit on the draco x…thanks for the information and the research

• It also happens with weather, flew through a snow storm with the G36 and on the right eye the snow came right through the cockpit while on the left eye it was only outside. Horribly annoying.

The common method of renaming files you want to revert in the future is to replace their extension with BAK.
For example, rename
FX_Asobo_TBM390_EXHAUST.fxx
to
FX_Asobo_TBM390_EXHAUST.BAK
This method also makes finding the files easy (sorting by file type).
The files will most likely be replaced or recreated if one uses the ‘Verify and Repair’ function in the XBox app or the ‘Verify integrity of the game files’ function in the Steam app.
