I also thought after firing up VR after the update it was unplayable. I was not able to use the toolbar or move any windows even after ctrl-0. Luckily someone posted here the trick to change the home cockpit camera mode to on, after doing that I can only attest it is better (smoother) than I’ve ever experienced it. Just have to keep in mind to change the cockpit camera mode back to off for 2D, else cannot look around with the mouse.
