I just started my msfs2020 and i realized that there is a Huge Update of 107.66gb !
Does anyone know why there is such a big update ?

This is not an update. If you verified files using steam you will have to reinstall.

I am not using Steam !!
At the moment it downloaded 28gb !
I can only press pause !
How can i stop the Update ?

Guess you can’t. For some reason you have to redownload again.
(maybe you had a win 10 update? They sometime reset a lot of settings/apps…)

I did a win 10 Update yesterday !!
This morning i did a flight and there was no update ! Tonight i got this huge Update !!

Why ???
I stopped the Update , closed my sim , restart my sim and now i get that i Need to update to version 1.12.13.0 .
I did this Update last Week !!

It appears as if your windows update somehow wiped FS2020 content. Is the directory selected for updating the same as before? Where was it installed before this?
Just got an update, - a legit one -, of 47 Gb.

I have it installed in my D drive !
I have a C: drive also where my windows are Installed !
Is it better to Install msfs in my C drive ?
On my D drive i have also Installed : DCS plus Ace of Combat ( On steam ) !
I think i am getting crazy here !! My D drive before the Update was 196 gb free , it went down to 160 gb and Now it went back to 173 gb ! I still have 65 gb to go … what the heck is happening ??

Perhaps the compressed files are being deleted after decompression, to save space. That makes sense, with such a huge game.

Do you have your msfs installed in the same drive were your windows are installed or into a separate drive ?
To be ready to remadiate the case like this I regularly create a backup copy of my MFS2020 install (all the drives to be exact). Very handy.
I have a backup for my C drive just in case !
Unfortunately i did not have one for my D drive ! I will do it a soon i finish with the update !
My concern is that when there is a window 10 update , am i going to have the same problem again
May he rest in peace, many people have died waiting on MFS to download.
Mine is a different drive, but my windows drive is 60Gb and nearly full, which is a problem for updates.
