Not sure where to post this but a strange thing happened today and I’m not sure what’s happened.
I hadn’t played since Sunday (27th Nov 2022) and today there was a mandatory update. It said 1.2gb.
But it was downloading for a long time at between 60-120 mbit/s. It seems to get to a certain % then go down again. There was something like 630.18mb in the blue bar and it kept getting nearly to the end of the % then jumping back down.
I could see it was grabbing fs-base.patch002 through to 007 (but not in that order - started with 7 then 5 then 2 or something like that). Each time I could see the % on the file (in the text readout on the far left) also jumping up and down.
It did get to the end eventually and then in the game Main menu I had the notification for the Maverick and Australia update which it did “normally”.
Problem is something has swallowed around 40+ gb on my disk in doing those patches. Is this correct?!
Why did it say 1.2gb then do all that? I’d just got to a safe level of free space on my disk and now this has eaten it again! Not happy.
How can I trace what it’s done/added?
