[UPDATE] SimVoice Copilot 1.0.17.0 - Voice Checklists are here

Hi everyone,

SimVoice Copilot 1.0.17.0 is now available at Miscrosoft Store. This update introduces a new hands-free workflow: Voice Checklists for supported Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 aircraft.

What Voice Checklists do

SimVoice Copilot can discover supported aircraft checklists, read the current item aloud, and wait for a configured spoken acknowledgement before continuing.

Typical English responses include:

  • checked
  • done
  • roger

The checklist session can also be repeated, paused, resumed, stopped, canceled, or moved to the next pending checklist.

This means you can keep your hands on the controls while working through the procedure one item at a time.

MSFS 2024 native checklist support

For compatible MSFS 2024 aircraft, version 1.0.17.0 includes a bundled WASM bridge that supports native checklist interaction.

The bridge is deployed from the signed application package into the detected MSFS 2024 Community folder. A simulator restart may be required after the first installation or after a bridge update.

The app also includes a visible option to remove the bridge.

MSFS 2020 support

Voice Checklists can use supported checklist data discovered from MSFS 2020 aircraft packages. The MSFS 2024 WASM bridge is not required for the normal MSFS 2020 checklist workflow.

Other improvements in 1.0.17.0

  • Better checklist discovery and aircraft matching
  • Configurable expected responses
  • Improved parameterized voice-command parsing
  • Better bridge deployment and diagnostic information
  • Improved tray restore and restart behavior
  • More complete support-package reporting

Compatibility note

Checklist availability and native synchronization depend on what each aircraft package exposes. Some encrypted or highly customized third-party aircraft may not provide usable checklist data, and not every aircraft supports physical switch-state verification.

When native state is not exposed, the spoken acknowledgement is what advances the checklist.

Local processing

Standard English and Spanish voice commands continue to use the included offline recognizer. The optional local AI package is not required for standard commands or Voice Checklists.
