Well I use auto-update on my Edge browser, so should be fine.
I use Firefox as unlike the big ones that don’t try a take your personal data and there is no coding to assist them to do so!

Shouldn’t you use TOR browser through a VPN in a coffee shop wifi with your friend’s computer if you don’t want them to collect your data? Instead of just Firefox.

yeah except I can’t take all my sim hardware there without looking like more of a nerd than the people in the coffee lounge!
Anyway I always use a VPN and firefox so it certainly puts a spanner in the works for the Big tech and their data collection operations.
Just use TOR with the VPN then. TOR is even more secure than Firefox.
