Upgrading SSD m.2 MSFS Drive from 1TB to 2TB?

my main installation is C:\MicrosoftFlightSimulator2020 where the community folder and 160Gb of data is. Can I back up this second folder onto another drive and put it back on to my formated C drive before I re-install (from Microsoft Store) or do I have to re download the whole program?

Yes.
Copy C:\MicrosoftFlightSimulator2020 or backup this folder to another drive.

After the format, copy it back to the new formatted C: drive.

During the new FS2020 install, tell it to install FS2020 to this folder.
