Use a second TCA quadrant airbus for Spoilers, Flaps and Gear?

Idea !! My wife bought me incorrectly, the add on in which was another TCA Quadrant from Dell. We cannot find the add on, as they are all back ordered. So, I have an idea. Screw together these 2 quadrants, join the 2 middle for the engines, use the right engine control as flaps and the left control as spoilers. The two spare engine buttons can be used for gear etc. So looking at it, I can connect the two centered, but the red button is on the inside. I use that for Auto Throttle. Perhaps someone here flipped this for some reason? The 2 outside throttles I will take off the flip up lever for reverse. Thinking deeper, I am wondering if I can take apart, take the two outside throttle plastic levers off their mounts, and perhaps under it is something I can grab onto. Everything is programmable so I can make all those changes. WILL THIS WORK? Am I wasting my time??

Yeah, this should work. The number of detents coming from the throttle quadrant is exactly the same as the number of detents for the addons. So yeah, you can bind the throttle 1 as a spoiler axis. Then Throttle 2 to Engine 1, Throttle 3 to Engine 2, and Throttle 4 to Flaps axis.

The Auto-throttle button is difficult to flip though, that’s because there’s a lot of wiring inside it for the button to be operational. You’ll have to keep using the button on the “spoiler” or “flaps” instead.

That being said, after having my quadrant for so long, I’ve never used the Auto-throttle button. Not even once. That’s because on Takeoff the A/THR automatically engage, and on landing as soon as I pull back to IDLE it automatically disengage too. So there’s really nothing that I need to do that requires me to use those buttons.
