So as flightsimbuilder app was not working for me in order to have working their GNS530 HW in MSFS2024 I prepared (and it is my first time) a profile in AAO for the buttons and knobs in the Antonov 225 (which is totally broken, actually) but I would like to use the same assignments in any other plane without having to assign them manually again.
There may be better ways to do it, but what I do is save my profiles as templates. And then, for your next plane you want to create a profile for, you can assign a template to it, then select one you’ve already saved. Keep in mind - and you may already know this - some planes have pretty specific assignments so many of those won’t work for other planes. But often they do. For example, I have specific templates for my G1000 planes. So when I’m setting up a new plane that has a G1000 I’ll start with simply assigning that template to it and that often gets me most of the way there. Then I just have to add the things specific to that plane. For 3rd party planes this can be tricky due to LVARs, but I find for most Asobo planes this works pretty well. Get a few of those - like the C172 (G1000) - set up correctly and you’ll have a good starting point for others. Also - look at Flightsim.to for many AAO profiles. Lots of scripts already shared there you can simply import into AAO. Hope that helps.
