ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
The sim consistently, but randomly, changes the InstalledPath line in UserConfg.opt to point at Microsoft’s default location on Drive C. I use the inSim Library window to point at the correct location on Drive A and then OPEN that location and fine my addons as expected.

The Sim leaves the path alone for a while, days or many sessions, and then suddenly InstalledPath is pointing at Drive C again.

Today I started the sim with the Installed Path pointing at the correct A: location. II use Settings to verify that the sim is pointing at the correct A: location. I then click the Browse button and see the four addons I installed in the 2024 Community Folder.

All those addons are verified by there vendors/developers to be 2024 compatible.

I then click the OPEN button and again see all the addons I placed in Community.

Ended flight/ended session normally. Opened Usercfg.opt for 2024 and found:

InstalledPackagesPath “”

Yes - the sim decided to point at nothing despite it pointing at the correct location while in the sim just before I closed the sim.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
NO - the addons are necessary to demonstrate the bug

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Intermittently - sometimes every session, sometimes not for days

That’s the same issue than the bug that declares issues with Community folder.
https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/community-folder-location-will-not-change/665348/78

When you change for the first time the community folder in your library options, FS2024 writes an empty path for the field InstalledPackagesPath of your UserCfg.opt

So when you restart your sim, it reset it to the default path.

I don’t know if that’s linked to this issue, but i cannot edit the Cache folder the same way.
And i see only one addon in my library after having restarted my sim with a correct Community location written in the UserCfg.opt.

That’s really annoying : i cannot use my sim because i want different locations on different drives for my personnal usage.

That should be fixed asap.
