Using a lot of ram after sim update 14, What is happening?

Brief description of the issue:

Msfs using a lot of ram in the menu, and when I take a flight and go back to the menu it continues to use a lot of ram until my computer crashes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
It doesn’t matter without an addon or not, if I remove all the addons it only reduces 500mb of usage, the more things I close, the more msfs uses ram

Looks like my recent decision to upgrade my RAM to 64 GB is a good thing.

Have you tried disabling the menu animations in Options?

Sorry for the delay, my msfs kind of reinstalled itself, but it’s finishing, I think there was something corrupt for this to happen.

It’s still the same, there must be a problem in the simulator, because this RAM usage is normal when I’m flying, when I’m in the menu I only used 2GB of RAM

I have 32GB of RAM but it generally uses less than 16GB when flying. However, I do not use any airport mods or visit high traffic airports in airliners. But if all are default airlines and airports, it really shouldn’t be reaching that high in RAM. :thinking:

the airport is not default, but even if I disable all airport mods it still uses a lot of RAM, I disabled AI traffic and multiplayer.

Also try without IVAO software.

Could you try to start the sim in safe mode: once in sim, go to Windows Task Manager, terminate msfs.exe and restart, you’ll get the safe mode option.

I think it’s a Windows configuration problem or something like that, the msfs2020 appdata has already been deleted and it’s still the same, but now it’s time to find out what’s causing this problem. :thinking:

Ok, I hope you’ll find what can cause the high usage. On my system, when in the menu MSFS is using around 3/4 GB. I am using below guide for my system settings maybe it has some points that could be useful for you to check:
