Ive set the top hat of my joystick to look around in the cockpit (the view stay until changed again). What I have notised is that when the view is “slowing down”, to the view Ive selected, there is alway this unsmooth “bump” before the screen animation stops. This is NOT happening when Im using the mouse to look around instead. Howcome there is this bump In animation and is it something the devs are looking into?
I have noticed the same thing with the Beta
It has been there since day one I believe. To be such a small thing, it annoys me to no end. LoL
It’s remarkable that nothing has been done to fix this. When moving the mouse around and letting go (to simulate som sort of “end of animation”) the problem is NOT there.
Seen it from release untill now, latest release (not tried beta).
It might be speed related. I notice the hat switch moves it quicker than a standard mouse movement. If I increase DPI on the mouse it is jumpy.
But its not jumpy before it reaches the end of the movement, lets say to the full left och right. Then there is a little, but OH so annoying bump in the animation. Of course there could be lag in the mid of the movement as well, but thats more usual on the ground when the graphics over all demands more.
Since I can “imitatate” the movement with the mouse (tried with different settings) and this is not showing, there must be something with the “quick look” feature.
Are there ANY ways to turn off the animation and directly look right, left etc? (not realistic but that bump aint realistic either).
Are you talking about a slight hitch in the animation as it reaches each the end of the turn? A bit like it’s locking into place by a millimetre or so?
If that’s what you are talking about I find it goes away when you set the low latency mode to off in the Nvidia control panel.
Yes, exactly what Im taliking about! =) But if the low latency mode is already off by default its not that, since Ive only change power settings and vsync off.
I checked and its on default (use global setting), that is off.
Well maybe it’s a certain combination of other Nvidia settings along with the low latency setting. If I set low latency to on or ultra I get the notchy turn back.
I’ll dig out my other settings when I get a chance.
In general settings, alter your zoom, pan and acceleration settings( speed)
Cheers! =)
I have played around with these too. Im starting to think that its something with the Gsync maybe, not sure how. Probably in combo with the latency. It looks better, and feels smother over all…but its still there though.
