Has anyone been able to use a client computer to drive the FIPs using Spad.next in MSFS? Long ago I had two copies of Spad.next, one on a client computer and one on the main MSFS computer to lessen the load of driving 6 FIPs on my main CPU in FSX and it worked flawlessly. In fact it worked so well I had the client drive all of my Saitek instruments on the sim (including yoke & rudder) so the mainframe only ran the sim & graphics.
Now there is a client program that is included with the complete version of Spad.next that you can place on your slave computer but for the life of me I can only get it to communicate with one or two of the FIPs, not all 6 which is driving me crazy.
Anyone got this setup to work and how if you don’t mind sharing your config. Thx.
Sorry to say spad.next is difficult to work with. I took me 2 months to setup what u are discribing and the list off things to set is long. Ip address, simconect manualy change the word network to local or vise versa, can,t remember. I had to change every file permission in the all paths including the c:. It was not good enough to just change the permission on the C; drive to full. device manager/usbc and Human interface devices, all power management settings turned off. Two services have to be correct. i cant remember. U have to use usb 2.0. The usb hubs have to .5 amps for each Fip usb port. When u get it all set it does work. Spad.next/discord i found a list that was helpfull. Full discloser. I fooled with my sim computer and I cant reconnect. so far a week has passed and i cant get solve it. spad.next/discord is also difficult to use and I cant get on discord to find that list. I am being polite. Ulrich are u listening. Ulrich made spad.next. If u wish put heads togetherand figur it out. Are u using usb 2.0. Not 3.0. do your usb hubs carry enough power for each fip and in device management have u turned all powermanagement settings off. be worned u are about to get very frustrated. It does work I was running 6 fips, 2 radio colums and 1 trust master all set up on spad.next. on one old computer usb 2.0. It worked with win 7 and win 10. UPDATE. I just got them to connect, kitty hawk. I had to manually edit simconnect.cfg file. changed all instances of the word local to network.
Thanks. I have spad setup as my primary interface between all devices (FIPs, throttle, yoke, radios, etc) and MSFS thru Simconnect. At one point using FSX I had off-loaded all my devices including FIPS to a client computer to offload the CPU on my main sim (when graphics & cpus were not as powerful). It required owning two copies of spad next and was quite difficult to do but I got it working. Now spad actually has a small program that comes with your purchase of spad that you put on the client but I just can’t get it to work.
