Utilizing showcase cameras for enjoyable, new experience (for me)

Greetings.

I am playing the sim on Xbox X and enjoy it. I flew for 20 years in the military, so the sim is, for me, just for fun, relaxation, and enjoying exploring our world.

I recently discovered the Showcase camera options. This brought a new freshness to the game for me. But…

It took a few clicks and moves to get to the new ground of cameras, and back again. Not sure if this will help people but I found how to map the switch ( between external and showcase camera) by mapping:

Toggle drone camera

Toggle external view

I can switch easily and quickly, and enjoy watching landings and takeoffs with the new views.

Brought a newness to the game.

This sounds like what I was trying to do when it all went wrong.

Would you please expand on this and The process for mapping and how to map from one to the other please ?

On X box, you just assign them to controller inputs.

Go to control Options.

Search:

Toggle drone camera

Toggle external view

Click on the empty box to the right of each

Click on Start Scanning

Hit imput key you want.

Click Validate

Click Y to Validate again.

Should work. Good luck

Works for me.

Just checking:

XboxX

Mapping to desired controller and it’s selected correctly on game.

Validate box under selection

Y to validate again.

Works fine for me. I have one on control stick and one on HOTAS.

Thanks. I will give it another go a I use velocity one and there I think lies the problem
