Any news on the MSFS store release of v2.1.1?
We are sorting last issues, update will be sent for MS release team approval on Monday. In marketplace it will be available 8 Dec/15 Dec. Sorry for such delay but that’s how official marketplace works ![]()

– deck collision improved, extra surface added under the runway to prevent wheels sinking
– added collision surfaces for safety barriers
– LODs added for carrier and static aircraft (loss of details at higher distance for performance sake)
– carrier group speed decreased to ~15 knots (average cruise speed in RL)
Helicopter
– rotor icing cause lift loss, sound change and partial loss of controls (custom script)
– collective handle set to 0% when appear on runway
– collective handle animation variable change from throttle to collective
– additional switch added to the panel for manual throttle control (fictional)

Right now we can’t depart from heliports as MSFS still doesn’t recognize it as a helicopter/rotorcraft.
Yup, that is also fixed, you are able to depart heliports in the new builds of KA10M

– carrier settings will be stored until next flight (only if Ka-10M is selected aircraft)
– custom arresting simulation for airplanes without tailhook configured (no wires animation)
– ILS (109.5) and TACAN (x33) added for static carrier (Istanbul)
– helipad and runway start point added for static carrier (Istanbul)
– teleport to the carrier buttons added to panel (available only while real time sync is active)
– quick pushback simulation improved
– carrier group time sync respawn interval increased to 30 minutes
We have tried to get rid of major issues of moving carrier, but some annoying things still happen:
- When player get far away from carriers origin point (about ~50km depends on your graphics settings) ships position will be reset, that’s current world script container issue.
Workaround: real time sync feature can respawn carrier group before it get too far - After flight restart, group entities (cruisers, parked aircraft) may not be aligned properly, another world script issue but solution was not found
Workaround: return to the main menu instead of restart the flight - After flight restart, time sync and teleport to deck features does not work immediately - usually carrier group will be positioned properly with about 1 minute delay
Workaround: use time sync feature only with live weather and real time enabled, or return to the main menu instead of restart the flight
Same version was submit to MS marketplace, usually update testing process takes 1-2 weeks but because of the holidays delay will be increased. Perfectly, update will be released 15 Dec, but mostly likely it will be end of the 2022 / beginning of 2023.
Honestly, the carrier is worth the price by itself. The Hat is just a nice little bonus! (And unexpectedly tricky to fly properly, too…)
Good news for Xbox owners (and everyone who purchased Ka10 in the MSFS marketplace as well) - package was added into my Xbox dev account and tested on Series S successfully. Several issues found, some related to short LODs distances, but these are minor and easy to fix. I have worried about problems related to high res textures or carrier model complexity, but everything runs nice and smooth, animations works as intended (pictures are Xbox captures, will make new tutorial video in a days).
I will forward update to the marketplace staff and hope it will be available this Thursday.

Ka-10M v2 is available in the MSFS Marketplace. You will get native flight model and updated sounds for helicopter, and soviet carrier group with control panel in 4 locations (3 moving, 1 static). For the carriers, dedicated page was created with short manual: Kuznetsov carrier group - Touching Cloud
Just a reminder, moving carriers still has issues due current sim limitations:

Workaround: use time sync feature only with live weather and real time enabled, or back to the main menu instead of restart flight - Sometimes arresting wire releases shortly after it was catch by hook, regardless airspeed so it’s not some damage simulation. Issue under investigation.
If you are using Xbox or similar gamepad, you may like to apply such controls settings change:
In the default Helicopter controls preset left and right triggers of Xbox controller used as Tail Rotor trim. However, Ka-10M does not have tail rotor so there is no torque moment created by its rotation (helicopter will turn but pedals will not return into neutral position). To make turn controls more comfortable, you can assign LT and RT triggers to the Rudder Axis events, and remove them from the Increment/Decrement Tail Rotor. This way it will work similar to the airplane rudder controls - reset to neutral once trigger released.
