[V2 RELEASED] Kennedy Space Center VAB area detailed scenery, including launch complex 39A (SpaceX) and 39B (NASA Artemis/SLS)

No problem, I’m here to help. When did you purchase the product? Was it for MSFS2020 initially, and now you are expecting it in MSFS2024?

That is really odd, because I have my version labeled as “owned” (although I am a developer so it is probably different for me). The only thing I can suggest, short of contacting MSFS Support, is to wait for a day or two till MP gets refreshed/updated. I haven’t had any reports of any similar problems.

I did purchase the product few days ago. But is it normal for this add-on to be transfered into 2024 aswell? Thanks for your help.

It is! It should be appearing in both your MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 Marketplace, except, MSFS2024 MP will have a “MSFS2020” tag next to it, indicating it is a PORT from MSFS2020, not a product specifically developed for MSFS2024.

No prob, we’re here to help!

Usually MS transfers 2020 purchases to 2024 within a day or two.

In 2024 My Library, filter to show “disabled” add-ons. You should see KSC there, and you just need to enable it. That’s how it worked for me once MS made the add-on usable in 2024.

[DEFECT FIX PENDING - MSFS2024 only]

We have managed to fix the problem with MSFS2024 where the VFX gets cut off too early. The “fix” was basically just trial and error with what works and what does not work, and what fixed it in the end was attaching a really huge “invisible” boxes to all the model LODs. This is not a problem in MSFS2020, but MSFS2024 has drastically changed how LODs are managed (and in our experience, it broke a LOT of things). So, this works, although this should be better managed by Asobo. We’ve spoken to other devs, and in order to address a lot of LOD limitations, they are also resorting to attaching HUGE boxes to their models, to make things show up properly. Asobo, please take note and handle this properly. We have also identified and fixed the missing texture problem, and the only thing we are still working on is the pesky sound cutting off at a certain distance. When we fix the sound bug, we’ll issue a MSFS2020/2024 service update.

This notice, as well as many other resources, are available at our Discord server, if you are looking for more info.

Glad to hear you’ve found a workaround. Hopefully this is on Asobo’s list to fix.

Even with the quirks, still loving it. Looking forward to the countdown clock in a future update so I can recreate some images from my STS-135 launch visit.

Thanks! Another thing we will improve is the look of the launch cloud. Right now, it has a fixed direction, but we can randomize that a bit so no launch will ever look the same!

Check it out - randomized launch VFX, so that no two launches will look the same!! Work in progress, but we are loving the results so far!!

… and another one, just for comparison!

Among many improvements we’re working on for the next release are… Space Shuttle Orbiter names! We’ve added 5 versions of the orbiters and given them name decals! Moreover, we’ve implemented a feature where they will be appropriately shown according to the historical time period - that is, you won’t be able to see a particular Orbiter if it didn’t exist at the date in the simulator!

A quick update on the MSFS2024 sound bug, where the rocket launch rumble goes quiet at a distance of more than ~300m… This has now been officially logged as a MSFS2024 bug by Asobo. We were hoping that this would be fixed by Wwise approach that we were about to undertake, but other users already using Wwise reported the same problem. It looks like this fix will have to wait until the next MSFS2024 update.

I don’t see it tagged as Bug Logged? Also the crawler still sinks into the ground between the VAB and the gate.

Asobo moved it from the “question” forum to the “bug” forum, and I guess it will be under review pretty soon.

As for the sinking - We simply can’t replicate this on our side. I don’t know what else to do. Do you have any other sceneries that cover this area?

The sinking happens in 2024. We have been all through this before and if you would like to take it to PM, as we did before, that’s fine as I don’t want a mod to step in.

If you are saying you can’t reproduce it in 2024 then I will do a complete reinstall once beta 4 final is released. But it was also happening with SU3 Final.

I removed all my mods installed in my library and removed everything from my community folder and it still happens. In 2020 it’s fine.

I do appreciate your support but really this needs to be fixed either by you or Asobo.:slightly_smiling_face:

Ok, let’s go to PM, and if you don’t mind trying out a few things, I’d like to give you a test scenery and see if we can get to the bottom of this.

Here is a quick sneak peek at another feature slated for V3  :

Def excited for the addition of SpaceX and the sound bug being fixed!

Sound bug is, unfortunately, dependent on MS/Asobo. Nothing we can do about that. It has been logged and we can only hope it is being looked at, and the next MSFS2024 public update will address it.

totally understand, thank you for not giving up!
