V2 UPDATE released! LATEST BN2 Islander available now from Blackbox Simulation

Having and issue where the aircraft barely want to take off with over airspeed and full after elevator. The trim in normal
Set T/o if I do get airborne the controls feel really touch and barely move

Do you have the flight model set to Modern, or Legacy?

Dude, you posted the exact same thing on the Trinidad

“I’m having an issue where the plane doesn’t want to take off and I have full back pressure. Then it doesn’t want to pitch forward. The flight controls are messed. Yes trim is set to normal. I have reinstalled it”

Maybe the problem is on your end? Have you checked that you’ve properly disabled the autopilot maybe?

Auto pilot was never activated as I start on runway and add power and it doesn’t take off. I’m looking to see if someone else has experienced this isssue and have a potential fix. And yes I have narrowed the issue down to these 2 aircraft
no other seem to do this. So yes I’m going to post on both forums to increase the probability that someone has encountered the issue.

Take a look at the Center of gravity setting. It is worth messing with. Also, try changing the weight in the various seats. I am not having your issues, but these might help with your particular control set up.

I cant see your answer regarding Modern or Legacy flight model ?
Our BN2 product will NOT Fly properly under Legacy flight model as it was designed solely and especially for MSFS 2020

Other than the above I also suggest you check your key assignments / sensitivities

Have Asobo given you any indication yet as to when they intend to publish the updates on the Marketplace? They’re about a month or so behind now, right? I hope they’re intending to improve on this in the future, it can’t be ideal for 3rd party devs like yourself to have to wait on this opaque process to fix issues and deliver new features.

Is it possible to transfer the license for planes purchased on the marketplace to Blackbox. I purchased the L-19 on the marketplace and the Islander direct from Blackbox. The difference in update responsivenss is clearly with Blackbox. Thanks

I second this. I’d rather refund my Marketplace purchase and buy again direct from BB.

I don’t believe it is, no.

The Marketplace SU5 Update should be available within a week
Sorry I cant move it on any faster

This is not possible sorry

BBS have NO Dealings with the Marketplace other than to Upload our products

Im so sorry we cant help you any further

Thanks, and no worries mate, you’re not to blame at all. You’ve clearly submitted the update to their team ages ago now, it’s them that seem to be dragging their heels. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing what you develop next.

I think the biggest problem was the WHOLE Marketplace team taking a week off Immediately the SU5 was released
Nothing at all was actioned until the 12th

Wow thank you I did not even know I had Legacy set. It must have changed during the update! Hope anyone else see this that has this problem as it has had me wondering why non default aircraft flight control surfaces would not work correctly!

This has been happening a lot (My self included). Developers now have the ability to force modern flight model, not sure if it works or not.

I have a question about the Fuel Valve switches next to the Fuel Pump ones in our Blackbox Simulations BN-2: Are they in that position in certain models of the real airplane, too?

I’ve often found the placement of the switches bizarre since they can cut fuel to the engines, turning them off, and they look exactly like the Fuel Pump switches right next to them, which would make cutting off fuel instead of activating fuel pumps a dangerously-easy mistake to make.

I’ve searched a bit and have not been able to find a photo of a real Islander cockpit with them in their current position in the sim, with real Islanders seemingly placing them on a separate box mounted on the top of the dashboard or below the ceiling.

They don’t bother me and I am quite used to them, but am curious whether this was a change made in later model Islanders!

Video example (and what an amazing approach! Here is my attempt earlier today.)

The sound of two unsynced piston engines is something wonderful.

Those settings turning on/off randomly at each updat get me mad !

We need to build an “after update checklist” :

  • check flight model : modern
  • check data is on (before realizing graphisms are like fsx)
  • callsign and tail numbers : setup again
