I had ATC terminate my service every single time… No matter what I tried it would not work… I can set the digits, but ATC doesn’t recognise it at all…
you are taking about ASOBO Atc right ?
Affirmative
Then I fail to see what your doing “differently”
I have done Many test flights under IFR and VFR with the ATC Telling me to set various transponder codes … I can either set them manually or allow the co pilot to handle radios etc …
Never failed
can you explain perhaps a little more in depth as to how you operate yours ?
How are you setting the transponder ? Are you dialling the number in manually or setting it automatically via the ATC call ?
What is the FREIGHT capacity for use with air hauler ?
I have been trying both… I have tried setting manually when it didn’t work automatically. When I accept the ATC call it WILL set the transponder code correctly but ATC will tell me it is set incorrect or malfunctioning and follow with terminating its service. I tried setting manually as well (not accepting the call, like I do for some flights) all to no avail. This is across three different flights (VFR (flight following) and IFR plan). I would try again after having my service terminated and had the same thing happen over and over.
I even tried restarting the sim (and pc) for the third flight and that didn’t change the outcome either.
I jumped into the default 172 and also the Arrow… the issue is non existent in those planes, just this one.
Do you have any other mods in the community folder? Maybe something interferes. This is always the first thing to check if you encounter strange malfunctions.
I’ll empty it out and leave just the Islander and report back
Yes, I suspect there is some other App or Setting causing this …
I can see one definite issue with the transponder - the operation of the dial for the 4th digit is reversed compared to the others, so rotating it to the right decreases the digit, not increases it
Also more generally the numbers change very fast when click on the dial with the mouse button rather than using the mouse wheel making it tricky to get the number you want (same very rapid autorepeat on the ADF dials as well)
Just one minor thing. The cockpit left and right quick views on a HOTAS POV hat are ‘sticky’ and don’t snap back to middle on release as with all other aircraft.
It’s definitely a conflict somewhere!
With nothing but the Islander it is seemingly working as it should. I have some suspicions of what mod it might be, though it might take a little to go through one by one and find out the culprit.
Hello,
I’ve bought this addon as soon possible. I love the graphics, especially interior. I miss a bit of “flex” when the acft is moving in the air, but i have no idea how “stiff” is BN2 in real life. So maybe i’m missing this one.
What needs a bit of rework is the sound, repeating sound of “bumps” while taxiing is not very nice. And I couldn’t hear any switch clicking. And the steps of elevator trim seemed to be a bit harsh. But i’m not a pilot IRL.
Bugs found:
- (OBS NAV1 and 2 not working at all.) - DISREGARD, MY MISTAKE
- Transponder mode button not working, as well as squawk ident.
- During my second flight, everything dynamic suddenly froze - cockpit, controls, gauges, props.
Overall - after few flights: Great addon, definitely worth the price. The graphics are stunning, Blackbox made a fantastic work and I will never get tired with hopping around Scotland with this thingy. The only negatives are the soundpack, several glitches in the cockpit and a bit of stiffness - “fsx-ness” of the model (but as I said, maybe that’s how this plane really works, it’s just my humble opinion).
I guess some of the mistakes will be fixed with some patch or update.
Great job, guys, really terrific!
I can use my Logitech panel to set that, so I’ll see if this is just a virtual cockpit issue.
That sounds like the transponder is not set to ON or ALT, rather than the code not being set.
yes, these flashing at the window I noticed as well when I made the video.
Need to examine this further.
I’ve had this in the Arrow many times, and it recovers a few minutes later with no warning or explanation as to why. The only cockpit instrument that continued to work was the GPS 100.
No it seems to be some interaction with the close by prop rotation …
I will speak to ASOBO about it and see if anything can be changed
I have added everything back except for the mods on the default aircraft (except for GotGravels obstruction and vertigo) and the squawk is working as it should still. SO definitely narrowing it down. I haven’t used any of those other aircraft in AGES so may as well just leave those mods out.
As for the flashing textures I initially thought it must be something to do with the spinning props, maybe shadows or something, but the flashing is happening regardless if the props are spinning or not
Yes I think its more a Proximity thing than an animation thing
