Hmm. Will check. Certainly get no movement in fuel flow at present
Ta
Iāve spent the last 9 days staying right next to Princess Juliana Airport on St. Maarten, watching the Islanders come and go (and Twotters, 737s, Airbus, Short 360s - even saw the Trislander from Anguilla Air Services yesterday!). Tried uploading pictures but the forum says it wonāt accept anything over 10 megapixels. So it will have to wait until I get home. Been a fun week of plane-spotting!
Hi there,
I would like to know who can help me to do repaints of attached pics liveries. Those are ecuadorian air taxi companies and would like to have them. Thanks in advance for your comments.

A comprehensive paintkit is available right here
Very basic photoshop skills are required
Will we get support for PMS GTN750 as an option?
On flightsim.to thereās a requests section so you could ask there and maybe someone will do it for you. Liveries Requests for Microsoft Flight Simulator - Flightsim.to
Itās an option through the āJDās PSMGTN750 on Others Modā from FlightSim.to
I have used it a few times with works well
But it uses GNS 530 bezel, what I meant is GTN750 with 3d bezel as option in cockpit, so we get not only distorted gtn750 screen but fully recreated gtn750 device.
Thank you. I“ll try it. I don“t know how much experience I need but I“ll try.
this would require a complete rebuild of the BN2 Panelā¦
something we are not prepared to undertake for a 3rd party mod
sorry
Hello! I just got the beautiful BN-2 and am having fun learning her systems and quirks. First question I have, is there a game manual that exists somewhere? Not talking about official checklists, but more talking about this actual sim-specific plane. For things like special options or click areas or other features that may not be obvious?
Thanks!
Nah thereās no actual manual, just the real life POH. Donāt think thereās any special options aside from ones to open doors via the switch panel on the lower left of the pilotās dash. Thereās also a couple of minor model variations that appear when selecting some different liveries.
I think I have to admit that my first impressions with you guys were completely wrong, and that this is a quality aircraft that I am actually looking into purchasing.
I donāt understand though; there were people with prior experience buying from BlackBox, calling you guys scammers - likely overreacting. What happened? Why was your initial entry into MSFS so turbulent, and why did a part of the community (including me, unfortunately) react to you with hostility?
Definitely not scammers. Only criticism of the plane is some low poly textures but at least they built their own model unlike some devsā¦
The doors and windows also currently donāt open on the Xbox version but Iām sure that will get patched.
The systems functionality and modeling as well as the flight model is a bit above average for the price point and obviously custom, not ported - other than some AP quirks native to the sim, the airplane does what you want and is easy to fly as it is IRL. It is easy to hand fly and dial in direct to remote airfields or you can fly AP IFR a few hundred feet AGL takeoff to touchdown once you get the AP dialed in.
If eye candy is your top priority, you may want to hold off. If a working aircraft with simple procedures, quick turn around, and easy flying (think Grand Caravan) sounds good and you can deal with a few rough textures this is a good pick up.
What I recall is that a very critical review came out on YouTube from a reviewer who has been absent for a while now that really blasted Black Box for the Bird Dog. BBS and the reviewer had a back and forth in several locations (possibly including these forums?) and it got pretty heated. At the time, a lot of folks sided with the reviewer because there were a lot of small (and a few bigger) bugs/issues with the Bird Dog and no one knew at that point of BBS was going to fix all of them. To be fair to BBS, the review came out so fast that it had a pretty big impact (as the Bird Dog was one of the first payware) and the reviewer maybe should have been more patient. To be fair to the reviewer, the things they pointed out were legit (and DID get fixed over several updates.)
100% not scammers as Laden said. They are capable developers with a lot of experience and a track record of making improvements. To this day, the Bird Dog is one of the best flight models Iāve ever experienced. Both it and the BN-2 are must haves in my book, even if the cockpits leave a bit to be desired. You stop worrying about it once you hear the amazing engines (from the last major release) and feel them in flight.
Of all the developers out there today, Iād trust these guys over just about any of them. Even some ābiggerā studios I once had a lot of faith in who will rename namelessā¦
The manual (PDF of original POH) is available on the black box website. Or on PC you find it in the aicraft folder.
Other than that I am not aware of a manual.
But it really is not too much rocket science, that you really needed an poh. Basically two cessnas strapped together and away you go. If it is loud, it is working correctly
Ready for takeoffā¦
Iād say systems wise itās basically on par with the defaults, though as you say itās a very simple plane and there really isnāt much to play with here. Most of the main flight related stuff works fine.
I find the plane quite spongy for the lack of a better word on itās wheels and hard to keep straight after initial touchdown, though this might be something to do with the MSFS ground contact physics (which I understand are very simple and will be overhauled soon). Also the nosewheel is very difficult to get on the ground and the plane wants to keep flying down to a ridiculously low speed.
I watched that review, and admittedly right after I loaded the Bird Dog I instantly saw the issues he was talking about. The aircraft did in fact look less than optimal at the time, yes. I think that was the reason for this whole debacle.
