Excellent! Will try this, thank you!
@NightMercury358
This plane became my favorite in short time. Love the handling and the sound of the engines on short final now I have practiced short runway landing technique.
As I fly with a home build sim pit I managed to map almost all functionality to my hardware controls. One thing I would like to do is change the intensity of the panel lighting. There must be a simconnect variable to change this, but which one?
at the moment the Panel/Cabin lighting is at a set intensity ā¦
we are Hoping to have these both set to an adjustable ārheostatā type in the near future
@NightMercury358 Hey, absolutely LOVE the Islander. My uncle and I have been flying it non stop; we used to fly on Trislanders over to Alderney when Aurigny were operating them and are big Britten-Norman fans so this has been a great experience in the sim. Just wanted to share our appreciation for it and that weāre looking forward to future updates!
Keep up the great work and if you ever decide to bring out a Trislander weād be very happy to help out in any way we can
Just want to say this is quickly becoming one of my go-to aircraft for GA in MSFS. Itās so fun to fly, and the cockpit is so cozy.
Just finished a VFR flight from Manchester to Cambridge, then IFR to EGLC, including a manual ILS approach to runway 27. I flew it manually as I noticed the AP, in APR mode didnāt seem to have captured the slope even though I saw GS on the AP It did not line up correctly with the localiser either, and was off to the left. It didnāt seem to be correcting so I cancelled about half a mile out.
The islander is a joy to fly. Really looking forward to version 1.1.
On another tack, has anyone else noticed that occasional you can see fuel flow gauges will move even though the engine has not started? The last time I saw this, the engine seems to refuse to start if the fuel is on, the mixture is full forward, but the prop levers are in their default of about half way. Its because my throttle hasnāt been read, so if I wiggle one of the prop levers they will advance together. Then the engine would start, but prior to that, after the failed start, I noticed the fuel flow gauge moving.
If I can replicate the exact steps for this tomorrow I will.
Yes Unfortunately another Asobo Bug-ette
Iām Trying to find a workaround
Is this not coming to the store? I havenāt seen it yet

Sable Island was a bit disappointing in the sim thoughā¦
Usually takes upwards of 2 weeks
HI.
I have had so much fun in this so far.
I tried flying around The Shetlands in VR last night and lost about 3 hours before the wife starting shouting to remind me I have a family!!
I have tried searching the thread but cannot find an answerā¦is there any way to get the Altimeter to show in Mb - my Iāve changed the sim settings between the different units with no luck. I fly on VATSIM lots and its quite difficult to have to do a conversion from inches to mb on the fly.
Thanks and keep up the great work.
All I have read so far almost conviced me to buy this one. I will wait for the first patch I think and then will jump into this bird
RIGHT NOW no sorry, But in the 1st update I hope to have a Dual Scale Altimeter installed
thanks for the reply
First of all thanks again for the support that you are giving answering all our questions. It is really nice to have you guys that supportive, because I know that us clients are sometimes hard to please.
And I would like to ask you if you have in mind implementing an NSD-360 or NSD-1000 HSI indicator in a future. That would be nice and it would make IFR a little bit easier and simple.
Best Regards
HI
Can you give any estimate for the update? Jun? Jul? later??
really looking forward to this!
JKB - Any chance of something that flies in the Caribbean, perhaps to St Barthelemy?
Thanks
TG
The Islander is so much fun to operate from remote bush strips. Here Iām on my way in NZ (with OrbX mesh, livery from Flightsim.to).
Great!! I look forward to getting this.
