V2 UPDATE released! LATEST BN2 Islander available now from Blackbox Simulation

Saw that as well. And as I mentioned before, I don’t believe the turn coordinator is moving correctly.

GRAIN OF SALT INCLUDED. I freaking love this airplane.

Yes, I have seen that also. Wind or not, if I enter a steep bank to the left, I don’t see the ball moving to the left much if at all. Similarly to the right. Its not quite like a permanently on yaw damper, but there is something odd going on there for sure.

A very small proportion of the community will even know about these forums on the periphery of the product, let alone actively participate. A smaller number yet will be aware of the CS shenanigans.

Only 260+ views for the “Bird Dog” - the plane that I’ve had my finger on the trigger to buy for some time, now.

Is there a hidden message here?

Not from me. I’m not a huge taildragger fan.

The Islander is a hoot. Instantly my favorite aircraft in MSFS.

I’m generally not, either. But ever since the SibWings “Bird Dog” in FSX I’ve made that and the venerable DC-3/C-47 my exceptions. I’m just not getting a really warm feeling about this iteration of the L-19.

Ditto. And guess who just got an email promising delivery of the Honeycomb Bravo tomorrow. Talk about timing? Somebody pinch me, I must be dreaming.

Hi, I Love the products, downloaded the latest version from my email, however when I load MSFS 2020 and go into content mananger…it still only says version 1…not the latest version. Is this correct. The version I I downloaded from the link say 1.1.2

haha its doing well yes but certainly not 16000 !
I WISH !

L19 is a great bird. It’s fun to fly. It’s also one of the few float planes you can get in MSFS.

it is correct … Just an internal issue
If your installer says 1.1.2 then rest assured it is 1.1.2

Am a taildragger fan and also happy to endorse the BB Bird Dog. The Sibwings Bird Dog was the first addon I bought for P3D and I loved it but the BB version definitely has more character to it.

Sound is important to me, can’t buy if sound is the weak point

Hidden message re the Bird Dog?

Well, there was certainly more than one thread for this aircraft, therefore the views from a single thread do not show the full story.

Also, there was severe denigration of the aircraft at launch, and this might have put some people off. Note, the aircraft has been greatly upgraded since then through significant work by the developer.

And, there was nothing to compete with the Islander in the Asobo fleet, but some people might find the Savage Cub keeps them happy in the same class as the Bird Dog.

I can tell you this. I have had the Bird Dog since it launched. It is still a blast to fly, and as full of character as the Islander.

In my German Flightsim forum there are a couple guys who did not get the update mail (for whatever reason).

Maybe it’s better to tie this to an account on blackbox website after all.
Even if it’s just to reduce customer support workload for the blackbox staff.

The mail we get for the updates is sent by noreply@digitalproductdelivery.com which is an address I would think some Mail providers filter out automatically, it just screams ‘SPAM’.

I share your feelings about sound. I just can’t accept “good enough” in that category. Ok, I get that you can’t create the feeling of turbulence and changing G-forces in this sim, but there shouldn’t (short of SDK weaknesses) be any compromises on the sound.

That said, I have read though that creating realistic sound files for this sim are a real challenge.

So why not do as we have suggested from day 1 and check SPAM Folder like we have to do with the majority of mail these days ?
Im sorry guys but BBS cannot be blamed for over enthusiastic paranoid AV Software …
Update mail IS being sent faultlessly
And you can always use your original email link to download an Update

I had no issues at all. Just passing on information.

I think some email providers filter out emails from such email addresses as mentioned. It doesn’t even get to the users computers.

But who knows.
